Dashing Diva Iron Foundation and Flash Drip Dry

Aside from nail polishes, I am "obsessed" with nail treatments.

A couple of treatments I recently tried were from Dashing Diva. Although I haven't tried their services, I can say that I like their products.  I bought Flash Drip Dry and Iron Foundation a couple of months ago for Php 375 per bottle of 0.5 fl.oz..

This one is pretty in the bottle but it didn't wow me on my toes.  It looked like my other brown shimmer polishes.  No application problems though.

Sally Hansen Problem Cuticle Remover

There are different kinds of cuticle removers from Sally Hansen. Out of curiosity I chose this one - the Problem Cuticle Remover.

This is the 2nd set of nail stickers I own. The first one I got from Skin Food a couple of years ago and this one is from The Face Shop.

The design is in light blue and white flowers and swirls. Very dainty and pretty. Actually, my DD picked it out herself.

I rarely put on polish on my finger nails but always on my toes. This is the first time I put nail stickers on my finger nails. I tried it out using Orly Calcium Shield as base coat then the sticker. I topped it off with Poshe quick dry topcoat.

And of course, the little girl put up a fight that I put it on only on myself. I used the Skin Food stickers on her footsies.

Mini Haul & OPI Matte Nail Envy

Yesterday was a holiday (Independence Day!) and it seems that everyone was out on the streets even with the AH1N1 scare. We went to the mall to get my DD's school stuff and I ended up with my own mini haul.

Garnier Nutrisse Cream hair color in Dark Golden Brown (Php 299). Last time I colored my hair was early this year and it now looks so ugly. I'm still on the allergy test phase since I haven't used this brand before. So far so good. I'll probably color my hair tomorrow or Monday.

Trim Men Styptic Pencil (Php 129). It stops bleeding from minor nicks and cuts. Very handy for when I DIY my nails and accidentally nick myself. I actually used this yesterday when my left thumbnail scratched the skin of my right thumb (ouch!). Just dampen the tip of the pencil and apply to the wound for a few seconds and that's it. Hurts like hell though.

OPI Matte Nail Envy (Php 695). My nails aren't the strongest. They're soft and easily crack or dent and peel. I heard good things about this and am glad this is available locally (also the new collections of OPI are available at Rustan's Essenses but I successfully controlled myself not to get any) but price is a bit steep. There are different variants like Original, Maintenance, Dry & Brittle, Sensitive & Peeling and Soft & Thin.

It took me a long time to decide which one to get but chose the matte one coz I intend to use it on my finger nails. Call me weird but I don't like wearing polish on my finger nails. Even glossy clear ones! I just keep them neat and clean and perpetually short.

I've applied it last night following the instructions. It says to put 2 coats initially then 1 coat every other day for a week then remove if there's still some left on the nail and start all over again. It can also be used under nail polishes.

The first coat was indeed matte but when I put on the second coat this is what it looks like:

Not so matte but not too glossy either. Oh well, I just hope my nails get stronger and healthier from this.

Zoya Haul & Swatches

I recently got my Zoya nail polishes from a spree by Mhean.

Love the few shades I chose and I can't wait to use them. Also, I've read good reviews for the Zoya treatments and the mini sizes are a good way to try them out. At least now I have a set of treatments to use with all my Zoya polishes.

I now have my eye on a few shades of the new Twist collection (Jo, Harley, Malia in particular). Can't wait for the next spree.

China Glaze Polishes

Last night my friend S. of Beautynomics and The Mineral Makeup Blog dropped by to give me a couple of nail polishes I ordered from way back.  

I got China Glaze polishes in TTYL and Unplugged.  In a previous post I said that I got Unplugged from 8ty8beauty.  I totally forgot I ordered this and wasn't sure if the order pushed through since it was a few months ago.  Turns out it did so now I have 2 bottles.

China Glaze TTYL:

Unplugged is a beautiful shade of brown.  Can't wait to use it.  

Nail Stuff Haul

I love nail polish!  I mainly use them on my toes and rarely on my finger nails (weddings only). I like any color that captures my fancy.   I do my own nails that's why I like having good nail treatments.  I go to the salon for my nails rarely.  Maybe once a year or twice at the most mainly for the foot spa treatment for special occasions .  I really can't afford to go there weekly or bi-monthly like most of my friends (and my mom who goes weekly!).

My recent haul from 8ty8beauty are the following:

Poshe Fast-Dry topcoat

Poshe Nail Polish Reviver 2 oz.

The 2 OPI shades are from the most recent collections.  I've always wanted to try Poshe's topcoat bec. it says it can dry polish in 1 minute to touch and to the nail in 5 minutes.  I've been using Jessica's Quick-Dry but I ran out of it and Orly's Sec' & Dry but I want to try something else.

The Poshe Reviver in 2 oz. could not be shipped internationally bec. of it's big bottle.  I had my whole order shipped to my cousin in CA, USA instead.   This one is to "revive" the rest of my polish collection which have turned thicker as time passes.  Now I'll be able to get more use out of them.
