New Dayna's Minerals Blushes

The first of a few packages I've been waiting so long for has arrived. It's my tiny blush and glow order from Dayna's Minerals.

The jars came wrapped like candies with a note from Dayna.

I got blushes in Coral Breeze and Polka Dot, Glow in Peachy Sheen and Beach Bronzer (for contouring).

Swatches of the 2 blushes as shown here:

no flash, indoor light

See how pigmented the blushes are? They have very slight shimmer in them. Coral Breeze I got in a 10gr jar because I had a sample of it before and I really like the shade. It's one of the coral/peachy blushes that look good on me. Polka Dot is a new blush that is pinky/brown in shade. Peachy Sheen I also got in full size because my sample has run out.

All of Dayna's Glows are wonderful, giving a slight sheen when worn. It's not shimmery at all and it enhances or highlights the cheek area naturally. I sometimes use the other shades also as a brow highlight.

The following came free:

A set of the doggie series of shadows in Ms. Gigi, Mr. Sully, Baby Popo, Hi-"Jack".

Much as I wanted to get full size jars of these 4 I did not because I know I won't be able to finish them as I rarely wear eye shadows.

This 5 gr jar of Java Lava Lip Balm also came free. Love the coffee scent it has and it's moisturizing. It has a very light tint but it doesn't show up on my lips since they're a bit pigmented.

I hope I get the rest of my packages this week. The wait is killing me.

SN Heavy Coverage Formula, Dayna's Blushes

I just got my last Silk Naturals order a few days ago and today mixed up some of the Heavy foundation formula with my current jar of the original light coverage formula. The mix I made was 6:2:6 of Ivory:Buttery Gold:Ebony. I did this twice to even out the 12 scoops of Ivory Light Coverage in my current jar.

I think this made my mix sort of a Medium Coverage, right (Light + Heavy)? However, when I tried it out on my face the effect was sooo much better than the original SN foundation. More coverage definitely. What more if I just used the Heavy formula straight on it's own. This is such good news!!!

I also tried out some of the blushes Dayna sent with my order before from her own line of Dayna's Minerals. I tried Empress' New Clothes (pinky-brown) which I initially thought didn't show up on me. It is really an e/s but Dayna said she uses it as a blush, too. I added a second layer and took a closer look. The blush colored my face without looking like a "blush" but like a contouring powder. It really was pretty.

Next one I tried out was Coral Breeze (coral with slight pink finish). Now this is really pretty, too. Usually, these shades don't show up or look good on me but this one did. It wasn't too bright and with just one layer it showed up. Dayna's blushes sure are pigmented.

I applied these 2 blushes using my Lumiere flat-top brush as an experiment. I was amazed that the blushes looked airbrushed on me. Maybe because of the buffing. I'll try it out again another day.

I'll post pictures once I transfer them to the PC although they don't really look good (my face was shiny) coz I was just experimenting in the late afternoon and in a very hot and humid weather.

B-day FOTD and some packages

Had my birthday dinner last night at Pepper Lunch. The food was great in a unique and fun way of dining. Once the food is served in a 260"C sizzling plate, you have to turn over or mix the food right away to cook it yourself then add the sauce you want. It was really yummy! This resto has branches all over Asia.

We got different slices of cake to share and pass around so we can taste all of them. After dinner, it was coffee for everyone at Coffe Bean & Tea Leaf except for me since I was so full from the food we ate.

Christmas FOTD

We went to my in-laws on Christmas Eve. Too bad the nephews and nieces weren't complete because the others were at their in-laws for the holidays. My daughter got all her wishes from Santa by coincidence! She wished for a Barbie doll and my brother-in-law gifted her with one.

Today also happens to be my husband's birthday! Double celebration so lots of food. I can not eat anymore. My daughter got another Barbie Doll from my mom this time so that's her wish from Santa come true again.

***
I am really liking the Silk Naturals Glow Powders since they are very pigmented and last long on my oily skin. The more pigmented ones can even stand alone as blush for me. I think next year I will be ordering more of this (the MAC dupes) in full sizes along with refills of the foundation and Dait Bait. The silk content in the products do not dry out my skin and last the whole day with minimal oily breakthroughs

My hair:I put it into a twisted ponytail. This looks complicated but it really isn't. I used a tool to do this. You put your hair in a loose ponytail first then insert the stick with a loop at the end in the middle of the ponytail near your scalp. The loose end of your hair is inserted into the loop and you just pull it out until the hair twists...and that's it!

Here's a shot of my shoe (which I really love):

It's by VNC ( I think it's a Malaysian brand) and they ake really soft and comfortable shoes even if they're high heels. You can run in them and your feet won't hurt. Plus it's not that expensive, too.
Nail polish is China Glaze in Melbourne Mauve. I also put on some Palmer's Leg Gloss.
We had a great night and the food was good.

**I'm proud of you DH!
