My Minerals Bath & Body Tinted Lip Balm

This tinted lip balm in Frosted Rose Petal is from My Minerals Bath & Body. I got this free as part of the summer promo they have which is still ongoing. What's good about this is that it is all natural with no harmful ingredients.

Ingredients:
Sweet almond oil, beeswax, mica, avocado oil, cocoa seed butter, shea butter, flavor oil

It has a nice strawberry scent that is not too strong. You won't be able to smell it once applied to the lips and there is no flavor as far as I could tell. It is sheer, giving out a very slight tint to my lips but very moisturizing. If you are on the lookout for a pigmented lip balm that won't need lipstick applied over it then sadly, it isn't this.

It lasts a few hours before you have to re-apply as all lip balms are. So far I have not had an allergic reaction to it unlike a few other balms I've tried in the past. The other tints available have different scents like grape and vanilla depending on the shade you choose.

Regarding the price, it is a bit expensive than most other lip balms ($6.99) and I'm happy I got this for free with purchase or I wouldn't have tried it out myself. For it's moisturizing properties, I give it plus points.

My Minerals Bath & Body Haul

A few weeks ago I ordered some skincare stuff from my friend Lisa's website, My Minerals Bath & Body.  She's having a really good sale and since I've been meaning to try out her new skincare products, I took advantage of it.  (I think the sale is still ongoing?).  For a certain amount you get a freebie and if you order $35 and up you get everything!  So yeah, I got everything LOL!  I got my package a week ago but only posted it now (sent Priority Mail Int'l).

What did I order?

- 8 0z. bottle of Herbal Hair Zen
- 4 oz. Purifying Moisture Cleanser
- 1/2 oz. Purifying Moisture Serum
- 1/2 oz. jar Pumpkin Mask

What did I get as gift (all my choices)?
- 1 oz. Red Clay Masque
- 2 oz. Herbal Hair Zen
- 1 gr. jar of Wine Berry mineral pigment
- 3 gr. jar of Amethyst mineral pigment
- a tube of Frosted Rose Petal lip gloss
plus 2 more freebie pigments (in the purple drawstring bag) of Khaki and Wild Mushroom!

Woo-hoo!  Thanks a lot, Lisa!

Lovely haul indeed! Hubby has used the Herbal Hair Zen yesterday.  Will post reviews for these soon once I've used them (still finishing up other products) although I have used some of MMBB's skin care products in the past which were sent as testers and they were really good. These new ones I have yet to try but went full size right away since Voxer friends who have sort of similar skin conditions as mine all gave thumbs up for the products.

My Minerals Bath & Body Bright Eyed

Just rediscovered my sample of My Minerals Bath & Body (MMBB) in Bright Eyed. I think Lisa of MMBB gave this to me in one of my orders.

It is a matte yellow powder that can be used as a highlighter when applied as a shadow to make eyes bright and "awake" or it can be used on the under eyes. The website says it can also be used to adjust foundation shades.

I used it on my under eyes where I have a bit of dark circles and it did wonders!

Applied dry using a concealer brush, with flash:

Great huh? I just used the Bright Eyed and nothing else.

My Minerals Bath & Body (MMBB)

I just got my samples today from Lisa of MMBB (in less than a week). Thank you!
Here's a pic:

New more stuff to try out and play with. I think I'm one of the last in Vox to try out Lisa's minerals (sorry :-( ) since I thought she didn't ship international. Now I can join in on the fun!
****************
Okay, I tried out the liquid minerals in medium dark beige and peachy beige. Honestly, I don't think I see any difference between the 2 shades when worn. On the baggies they are very different from each other:

And here's what it looks like on me with 2 layers of the liquid foundation on. The Medium Dark Beige is on my left (your right) and the Peachy Beige is on my right (your left):

Do you see any difference?
I do like the lightness of the foundation and as I write this post 4 hours later, I have no adverse effects from any ingredient in it :-) The coverage is medium for me since I tested this without any primer or other finishing powder. Just straight on foundation.
I'm still waiting for a few other sample shades of the foundation once they're available. I also have to test the ones I have with an added Yellow Adjuster and see the effect on me.
Here are swatches of the e/s samples I got:

The colors look a bit washed out because of the flash. From left to right: Princess Fiona, Wild Mushroom, Mint Julip, Golden Pearl, Sunrise, Antiquity.
I'm liking Antiquity and Wild Mushroom so far but I really like ALL of them! Sue was right, that the colors are not too sparkly but have a sheen to them. I have to try out the e/s next time on my eyes.
Happy weekend everyone!
