Thanks!

Hello!

I would like to sincerely thank everyone who left messages and condoled with me.  I really appreciate it.  Even if last week brought me and my family stress, sadness, an aborted vacation with family and friends (we were supposed to go to Baguio, everything was reserved and planned) we still tried our best to be cheerful and have at least a day to get away from it all.

We went to Tagaytay last Wednesday in between trips to Batangas, just the 3 of us (me, hubby and DD).  Caleruega was our destination to do our own Visita Iglesia.  Even if we left before lunch time, we were lucky to not have encountered any traffic - less than 30 minutes for the whole stretch of SLEX! Tagaytay itself was traffic free.  The weather wasn't as hot as Manila but it still wasn't cool and the breeze helped a lot.  We went around the compound which was beautiful.  It was an unexpected hike for me and my muscles were so sore the next day.

There were waterfalls and gardens...

koi ponds...

a hanging bridge which we moved and jumped on so it would swing (and made the other people behind us scared, LOL!).

After our church visit, we went to Cliffhouse for our snacks as we were so thirsty and hungry.  DD had frozen yogurt from Fling...

and hubby and I had crepes and coffee milkshake from Cafe Breton.  So yummy!

(my Strawberries and Cream crepe)

After our snack, DD requested to go horseback riding.  This was one of her planned things to do in Baguio but at least she was able to go here.  Hubby and I just waited in the car for her to get back.

We were also supposed to go Ziplining over at the Picnic Grove which was one of our main reasons to go to Tagaytay that day but I was too tired.  We planned to go another day and on a weekday so the rates would be cheaper. We decided to go home after passing by Paseo de Sta. Rosa and capped the day with shopping from the outlet stores there.  I got myself a Tankini from Debenhams and a Speedo swimsuit bottom.

The tankini is like the one in the photo but in a different color (lavender and yellow) with no prints

and the Speedo boyshort I got is the same as this one but in a solid purple color to match the tankini.

I couldn't find matching items in my size from either brand so I got separates instead.  Hubby got some items for himself too.

We had a great day but wished it was longer as only a good 4 day long weekend could bring.  Hope you all had a wonderful and meaningful Easter holiday.

I miss Cafe Breton. I used to hang out there with two of my closest friends (the one in Greenbelt) and I loved ordering their savory crepes! The pictures you posted though made me hungry for sugar!...like I need more, huh? :-)
