Hi everyone! Long time no post :-)
Anyway, here's a product review for all of you. It's The Body Shop's new DeoDry Dry Effect Deodorant. It retails for Php550 locally but they had a launching sale for Php 350. There are 3 variants (green, blue and pink) and 2 forms (stick and roll-on). I got the green one in Cool & Zesty Stick as it was the only one available in stick form at Gateway.
I don't usually buy expensive deodorants and I need an anti-perspirant but I was sucked into getting this coz the SA said it has volcanic ash that keeps the UA dry hence the Deo Dry Effect. It smells citrusy but a bit strong for me. Since it's paraben free and made of more natural ingredients, the sucker that I am bought it.
The first time I used it, I did feel refreshed and dry. However, that didn't last very long. After a few hours I felt sweaty so I put my regular powder deo anti-perspirant on top of it. There was also a bit of an itchy feeling on both my underarms. I used it for 2 more days when I noticed my underarms become a bit darker, ugh! Probably got irritated by some ingredients in it hence the itchy feeling. And to think I had already achieved my whiter underarms from my IPL and those whitening deos I used. I felt so mad about what happened so I gave the deo away, ha ha. Now I have to get my underarms whiter again. Regarding it's anti-perspirant properties? Major fail plus the stick form really does feel sticky. I can't comment on the Roll-on form as I haven't used that.
Lesson learned. I really regret buying this expensive deo from The Body Shop :-(

Oh no! thanks for this post, I did not even know they have DEO! :)
aww.. too bad it did work for you sis. Im using Arm and Hammer Advance unscented deo, its really good and inexpensive =)
Hi Nikki! This just came out end this July.
shopcoholic: my hubby uses Arm & Hammer, ma-try nga.
the only deos that i saw from them are crystal deos. actually im allergic to crystal/alum deos. Instead of whitening my underarms it makes it darker & i get allergic reactions from it.
*sigh*
Hi Thiamere! This one is Aluminum FREE.
i saw this! thanks for the review. i'm sorry about the bad experience you had :(
Sad to hear that. I can recommend the organic deo from Human Heart Nature. It says that it has Chitosan that has antibacterial properties and can assist in lightening the skin. So, every morning i use this, happily my armpits just remain dry throughout the day. Then before bedtime i rub the Sunflower Oil from Human Heart Nature. Been doing this for 3 weeks now and i see positive results naman. No more chicken skin and the upper part of my right armpit (which was really dark before) lightened up a bit.
Hi Erin Lou! Thanks for the reco. I might try that one of these days.
