My HG skin cleanser has been Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser. I've been using it for more than 2 years and have used up 4 bottles. And being always itchy to try out something new, I got this:
Ambi Even & Clear Foaming Cleanser. It comes from the same makers of Aveeno (J&J) but is targeted for women of color. Got this for $7.49 for a 6 oz. bottle at Drugstore.com in one of my hauls last year.

It contains Salicylic Acid (0.5%) which is my staple acne-clearing ingredient (I am allergic to benzoyl peroxide).
I've been using this for a few months now and I can say it is as good as my Aveeno Foaming Cleanser. I think they are pretty much the same as they help clear my skin. I use 2-3 pumps each time I wash my face with this although with Aveeno I use only 1-2 pumps. This has lesser foam than the other one (maybe it has something to do with the pump?). The only downside is the scent. It has a floral scent which is much stronger than Aveeno's.
My face doesn't dry out after washing with this (I have oily skin) but I don't know if it has evened out my skin tone because I am using other skin care products targeted for that purpose in conjunction with this.
Will I repurchase once I run out? I don't think so because it is not available locally and I don't like the scent. I have an Aveeno Foaming Cleanser bottle as back-up ready to use (and this is locally available at S&R for less than Php 500).

I bought the face clenser and def. worked for me then it was discontinued in the state. I would like it if you would send your product to stores in Maine. My nearest zip code is 04294.
