Etude House Speedy Total Mineral Base

One of the products I got from Etude House is their Speedy Total Mineral Base.  It costs Php 578 for the 50ml. tube.  This is a 3-in-1 product because it is a sunblock, a makeup base and a foundation.  It is NOT a BB Cream because it doesn't contain any skin improving properties.

It comes in a soft squeezable plastic tube with a pump.  The pump is easy to control and I had no problems in dispensing the product.

Swatched at the back of my hand.

The texture is smooth, very easy to blend and it has a slight floral scent that goes away quickly.  I think all their products are scented?  It isn't too strong though so it's tolerable.  I got shade #2 which is Natural Beige.  This is darker than shade #1 and since there are only 2 shades to choose from I had to go with the darker one.  Even then, this is still a tad lighter than my own skin tone (I am Medium toned, NC 30-35).

I've used this the whole week and I didn't itch nor break out from it.  I don't know if it had any oil-control properties and it would have been so much better if I could read the product blurbs on the box but everything is in Korean.  Anyway, it just didn't make my skin any more oilier than it already is.  I just topped it off with a darker finishing powder to take care of my oily skin and the lighter shade.

Coverage is light for me and it will not cover any blemishes.  Great to use for good skin days when not much coverage is needed but it improved my skin tone making it more even.  One of the ingredients of this product is Dimethicone (as base) so those who can't tolerate silicones in their makeup better avoid this. As a makeup base it is not the best , just okay.  It kept my mineral foundation intact the half day I wore foundation.  And on the days I just wore it alone, there was no caking since it is very light, like I used a tinted moisturizer.   The best part is the SPF of 41.  I didn't have to use a separate sunblock the whole week.

Here's an FOTD:

Etude House Speedy Total Mineral Base shade #2
Dreamworld Minerals Cream Toppings in Cafe Au Lait
Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint in Pink on Cheeks and Lips - applied lightly

So there you have it.  Another "no makeup" look from me, ha ha!  My face above is post-glycolic peel and post-diamond peel.

i haven't tried this one yet but i believe i received samples from them which i sent to philippines, haha.

that's why i switched to mineral make up. although expensive here, at least they have my shade. at least the face shop sells shade #25 which is good for filipina skin tone. most cosmetics shops only have shades #s 13,21 and 23...

i'm btw currently using Innisfree's no-sebum mineral base. it's great for mineral make up and the same brand's mineral bb cream. fortunately, they don't break me out. and they are light. the mineral base simply disappears on your face when you apply it. no need to wait for it to be absorbed...
